Pumps for Patients is now accepting applications for free septic pumping!
A cancer diagnosis makes life complicated. Along with the huge physical and emotional toll of treatment, people fighting cancer find themselves fighting other things too:
Insurance paperwork. Appointment scheduling. Medication management. Septic damage.
Yes, that’s right. Chemotherapy drugs can damage or even destroy a home’s septic system — adding yet one more thing to worry about. (Two, actually: thousands of dollars in repairs and a flood of backed-up sewage!)
That’s why Pumps for Patients is here.
How It Works in 3 Steps
1. Check eligibility requirements
While we’d love to help absolutely everyone, our limited resources require us to be selective.
At this time, qualifying applicants must:
- Be a U.S. resident
- Be receiving or scheduled to receive chemotherapy treatment
- Own a home with a septic system
- Be willing to share tax returns and bank statements to assess financial need
2. Apply for free septic service
If you meet the eligibility requirements, we invite you to submit an application.
You can download a PDF application form here, or you can submit the online form below and we’ll reach out.
3. Get connected to a septic pumper
Our team will review your application within 3 weeks of receiving it. If your application is approved, we’ll coordinate your free septic pumping service and will introduce you to the licensed and insured professional who will be taking care of you.
